Admissions

Quarrydale Values and Ethos

Quarrydale Academy complies with the School Admissions Code and the School Admissions Appeals Code.

The school’s admissions policies can be downloaded below. If you would like to learn more about the school catchment area and which school serves your home address, visit the Nottinghamshire County Council website here.

Applications for New Year 7 Places

Parents/carers of children in year 6 will receive a letter from the Local Authority inviting them to apply for a place at their preferred secondary school in early September. Applications for new year 7 places must be made to Nottinghamshire County Council. Information on the Nottinghamshire County Council’s Coordinated Admissions Scheme is available here.

In-Year Transfers

We are oversubscribed in some year groups but you are still welcome to apply for a place at the school. For in-year transfers, please complete the form by going to the below link:

Appeals

If you have been declined a place at Quarrydale Academy and wish to appeal this decision, please contact the school to request an appeals form.

Appeals are managed by an independent appeals clerk and heard by an independent panel.

Waiting List

We do keep a waiting list and unsuccessful applicants will automatically be placed on this waiting list. The list is ordered according to the over subscription criteria set out in our admissions policy – not by date of application.
