We offer private lessons in the following instruments:
· Vocals
· Woodwind (Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone)
· Piano
· Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tenor Horn, Tuba)
· Guitar & Bass
· Drums
· Violin
· Music Theory
Lessons are subsidised by the school and are charged on a termly basis via Parent Pay:
· Individual lessons - £70 a term (approximately 12 lessons)
· Shared lessons - £40 per students a term (approximately 12 lessons)
· Students who receive Free School Meals and/or Pupil Premium are entitled to free lessons.
· Students who study music at KS4 and KS5 are entitled to free lessons.
Students who take Woodwind, Brass and Violin lessons will be loaned an instrument by the school at no extra charge.
Lessons are 20 minutes and take place during the school day and time rotate each week to ensure students don’t miss the same class lesson each time.
Taking instrument lessons builds students’ resilience, organisational skills, communication skills, independence and creativity and teamwork. They also have the opportunity to join extra-curricular groups such as choir and the Christmas Orchestra as well as performance opportunities throughout the year both in school and in the local community.
